One of the UK's true innovators, Oceansize have carved a unique place for themselves in the music scene. This acclaim, in part recognition that Oceansize look to do things differently to the mainstream. So what does Oceansize actually sound like? Not surprising that this band comes from a place of mescalin and peyote really. This is an old time fave. Sounds a bit like a very fuzzed out early psychedelic Electric Prunes record, with swirling acid fuzz-geetar and fantastic organ interplay mixed with a raw mexican garage kinda feel to it. Originally only pressed in 200 copies so You'd have to sell a kidney to afford a original pressing. New CD version of this monster psych classic from Mexico City c.1968/69, one of the rarest and most desired psychedelic albums of all time! A great album, with all songs in English—heavy grooves, super fuzzified guitar and a raving, ranting, drooling savage garage sound. Incredible Mexican mind expander from the late '60s that could have easily been on an 'Endless Journey' comp. Mind frying fuzz guitars, electronic psychedelic effects, swirling keyboards and drugged lyrics/vocals in English. A major find for fans of the genuine article....

Jonsu (vocals, violin), Heini (bass), Sirkku (keyboards), Jenny (guitar) and Laura (drums) founded Indica in 2001. Before this the girls had already spent their entire childhood surrounded by classical music and had also played in a few different band line-ups. In the Christmas of 2002 Indica signed a management contract with Peter Kokljuschin and in 2003 a record deal with SonyMusic, leading to Indica starting work on their debut album.

This record was originally recorded in 1971 and is not the current black metal band of the same name. This is a pretty amazing remaster and story in English, Danish and German! You really get a great value with this label, which provides you with basically as much information that is known about these rare bands that often only made one record and then disappeared. This is an absolutely fantastic CD of jazzy progressive rock stuff from this Copenhagen Denmark band. I was pretty blown away as I had never heard these guys before. This is a band I wish would reform and play again. Some of the long tracks really have great jams with long guitar solos and nice interplay with the sax player. Blue Sun is the most famous of the bands that came out of this band. Cool stuff. Oh yeah, this is just the record, all 37 minutes and no bonus material, as none probably exists.

Following the disbanding of synth-pop act Lansing-Dreiden, some of itsmembers weren't ready to call it quits. As such, they went on to form Violens, a New York City-based trio that creates music heavily steeped in new-wave. Armed with synthesizers and ghastly vocals, the band released somewhat-angsty lead single Acid Reign in the summer of 2010. Beyond building blog hype, the track provided insight into the trio's full-length debut, Amoral, a record filled with reverb-filled vocals, '80s drum machines, jolting synths, and scraggly guitars.

Swedish neo-folkie solo artist Jose Gonzalez (2003's Veneer and 2007's In Our Nature) returns to his sporadic side project Junip for the trio's first album since 2005. Spare art-pop that backs Gonzalez' nylon-string guitar and smoky tenor with a tapestry of keyboard shadings and a nice kick of propulsive percussion, Fields doesn't dominate with big melodic statements. It persuades with subtle progressive touches that allow the trio to expand the folk/pop songs into more adventurous instrumental territory.
