The thought of an ambient version of Maze was already alive when we were making the original tracks back in the days.
I think you can hear even better with these ambientized versions that us Funcken's actually did our part in the melodies as well on that release, and its not all the infamous Mr Kettel's work. When the original Maze released a large portion of the critics and reviews assumed a simple division: melodics: Kettel, tweaking: Funcks. In fact the process for us was much more dynamic, and the fun we had making it as a team came through in the final product.

This is very much a home listening/headphone primed listening experience, from the symphonic inflections of 'Losing You' to the rich cellos of 'Lament', balanced with tuffer skankers like 'Plateau' and 'Badman', or the skipping syncopations of 'Delusions'. There's also a nice, Burial-esque moment of beatless ambience on 'Ghost Of Memories', while the final two tracks perhaps signal a new direction into a slinkier House mode.

With the previous album lending itself to a grittier, darker approach to Electronica with an slight Industrial tint, 10:10PM reveals a more cultivated and polished sound demonstrating this Polish artist talent for accessibility and sharp song construction. Still present are the massive washes of ambiance and infectious beatwork mixed with brooding melodies and heavy synthlines that have become signatures of UndermathicТs unique sound, yet an air of beauty and hopefulness is always present in contrast to the gripping tautness of each song, creating a distinct mood that is both epic and wondrous.

If you like, no, if you LOVE the sound coming out of the good old supergroup from the 80's, namely 'Laserdance', then this album is a safe card in your collection of Electronic/Space Synth music. Galaxy Hunter takes you on a ride of your life with an incredible blend of synths and gorgeous vocals in the mix, so infectious, almost haunting, that it's really amazing how they made it this good. From start to finish I just sat in awe, this album is definetely that good. This is according to me a groundbreaking album in the genre of Spacesynth music. It has everything that makes a solid spacesynth album, and lots more. Everything from fast paced rhythms to more slow edged, emotionally driven compositions. There is so much earcandy here, so much you have to take a listen to all the songs yourself to understand what I'm trying to say. Best tracks on this disc would be 'The Astronaut' & 'Space Megamix'.
